Privacy Policy

Bindar ("Bindar", "we", "us") helps trading-card players find nearby people to trade with in person. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using the Bindar app you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account — your email address (used only to sign you in via a one-time code) and the public handle you choose.
• Profile — the games you play, an approximate location (see below), and whether you're willing to ship.
• Your content — the binders, cards, wantlist, trade proposals, chat messages, and any optional card photos you add.
• Technical — a push-notification token (if you enable notifications), your device platform, and basic logs needed to run the service.

We do not collect payment information. Bindar does not process money; any cash mentioned in a trade is arranged directly between users (see our Terms).

Location

If you grant location access, we capture your position once and immediately round it to roughly a 1 km grid before storing it. Your precise coordinates are never stored and never leave your device un-rounded. Other users only ever see your general area and an approximate distance — never your exact location.

How we use your information

• To sign you in and keep your account secure.
• To match you with nearby traders and show relevant cards/wantlists.
• To deliver trade requests, proposals, and chat messages, and (if enabled) push notifications about them.
• To keep the service safe — preventing abuse, spam, and policy violations.

What other users can see

Other users can see your handle, your approximate area / distance, the cards in any binder you mark public, your wantlist, and any messages or proposals you send them. Your email address is never shown to other users.

Sharing & service providers

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. We use a small number of providers strictly to operate the app:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and image storage.
• Expo — delivery of push notifications.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app — this permanently removes your profile, binders, wantlist, trades, messages, and tokens. You can also email us to request deletion.

Security

Every database table is protected by row-level security so users can only access their own data and what's been shared with them. Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure keystore (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).

Children

Bindar is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll remove it.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your information at any time in the app, or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.

Third-party content

Card images, names, and game logos shown in Bindar are the property of their respective owners (including Bandai). Bindar is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Bandai or any game publisher.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll change the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
